ARC096: This Many Boyfriends - Number One
Tracklisting:
1. Number One
2. Polite Swearing
Although it still brims with the jangly guitar-pop warmth that we’ve come to associate with the Leeds-based group, ‘Number One’ takes a more gentle turn, steering listeners away from the near-frantic indie-disco dancefloors that were meant for the likes of ‘Starling’ and ‘(I Should Be A) Communist’. Don’t be fooled though, ‘Number One’ is still quintessentially ’Boyfriends. Rough around the edges and charming with a whistle-worthy melody.
