Far from being a celebration of cutting loose - 'Disco' is instead a somewhat troubled tale of an outsider looking in. Whilst a pounding bass drum and synth are perfect noisy, shouty, throwaway fun and the song is highly dancable and catchy, it is totally wrongfooted by the lyrics, making it a perfect introduction to Navvy's unusual and beguilingly choppy sound.
