Free TNPS Hologram SALEM remix and special Barbican gig
Posted 21st July 2010 in These New Puritans
These New Puritans forthcoming single 'Hologram', out 9th August 2010, is the third to be taken from the band's sophomore album 'Hidden' released earlier this year to huge critical acclaim. The band recently invited Traverse City/Chicago trio SALEM to remix the track, after Heather Marlatt from the group lent her vocals to the album 'Hidden'.SALEM are currently spearheading a new movement in their self named 'drag' music genre. With their debut album 'KING NIGHT' due for release in September there really isn’t a more perfect time for these two innovative bands to team up.
SALEM's remix takes the minimalist percussion and dreamy backing vocals of the original These New Puritans track and massages them into a murky choral infinity over which Jack Donoghue's chopped'n'screwed style draws you into their dead-eyed trance.
