THESE NEW PURITANS ‘HIDDEN LIVE’ FILM

Posted 27th April 2011 in These New Puritans
These New Puritans' 'Hidden Live' shows at the end of last year drew an exhilarating close to a triumphant 2010. Conducted by Andre de Ridder (Monkey : Journey To The West, Philharmonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra), this ambitious production featured a 14 piece orchestra and a children's choir, and wowed audiences across Europe, including sold out shows at The Barbican in London and The Pompidou Centre in Paris. This stunningly shot split screen film is the encore from 'Hidden Live : Berlin', featuring 'Irreversible' and 'En Papier' reworked.

TIM KEY PERFORMS ‘THE SLUTCRACKER’ FOR THE VERY LAST TIME!

Posted 30th March 2011 in Tim Key
Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2009

Time Out Comedy Performer of the Year 2009

From the star of 'Tim Key. With A String Quartet. On A Boat.', this is the very last chance to see the show that took over Edinburgh in 2009, and subsequently the world.

For one night only in London's West End, Tim Key (chubby/stylish) will wear a suit and drink lager for an hour or so. This show – a combination of poetry, film and athletic clambering – won him the Edinburgh Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) in 2009. Key (smart) is the swarthy bard from Charlie Brooker's Newswipe (BBC4) and the pretty question master from We Need Answers (BBC4).

Miss this and you will never have the chance to see it again.

"He's a genius, plain and simple" – TIME OUT

"In any other sphere apart from comedy, we'd probably class this way of looking at the world as certifiable. Here it feels like genius" - THE TELEGRAPH

"An indefinably crackers hour" – THE INDEPENDENT

THESE NEW PURITANS IN HEAVEN

Posted 11th March 2011 in These New Puritans
These New Puritans announce a new show
@ London’s Heaven on May 18th 2011

2010 achievements:
# 1 Album of the Year : NME
# 2 Album of the Year : Artrocker
# 3 Album of the Year : Rough Trade Shops
# 4 Album of the Year : The Fly
# 5 Album of The Year : The Guardian

TNP return to town this coming spring with a special stand-alone show at London’s Heaven club. This follows their incredible ‘Hidden Live ‘ events towards the end of 2010 and will be a chance to find out what this breathtaking band have been up to so far in 2011 as well as reminding us of their intricacies of both their exceptional albums.

TNPs Jack Barnett explains what’s to be expected, “These New Puritans return with a one-off show – featuring an expanded band line-up – playing music old, new and current.”

Their ‘Hidden Live’ shows with brass and wind ensembles and childrens’ choir were a huge success that opened a new chapter for the band in what proved to be an exceptional twelve months since the release of their second album. Now we can enjoy the fruits of their labours once again with this stripped down but equally as impressive live set up that will take them through the 2011 festivals.

“Hidden is not just the most original record to emerge from Britain this year, but the most unfathomable: an immaculate enigma.”
- The Guardian 5*
